About game
Checkers is a fascinating board game that captivates strategists and tacticians alike. This captivating game allows players to engage in battles of intellect and cunning, testing their analytical skills to the fullest.
There are three game modes available:
1. Online mode, where you can challenge a random opponent from around the world.
2. Bot mode, which lets you test your skills against a computer-controlled opponent.
3. Two-player mode, enabling you to play with a friend on the same device, taking turns to make your moves.
The objective of the game is clear: capture all your opponent's pieces or leave them with no legal moves to make. Pieces can only move diagonally, occupying vacant squares. When a piece reaches the end of the board, it becomes a king and gains the ability to move both one square and several squares at a time.
Playing checkers enhances one's ability to think logically, develop strategies, and predict opponents' moves. It nurtures perseverance and patience, fostering these essential qualities within players. While checkers share some similarities with chess, their unique set of rules and characteristics make them an intriguing and engaging game in their own right.
How to play
Checkers is a classic board game that is played on a square board with a size of 8x8.
At the start, the board is filled with black and white pieces arranged in specific positions. Each player starts with 12 pieces placed on the black squares of the first three rows near them.
The objective of checkers is to capture all the opponent's pieces or block them so they cannot make any more moves.
Pieces move diagonally, one square at a time. They can jump over opposing pieces to land on free squares and capture them.
When a piece reaches the opposite end of the board, it becomes a king. The king can move any number of squares diagonally in any direction.
Whoever captures all the opponent’s pieces or blocks them so they are unable to make any more movements wins the game.
