To join the fight, pick your character from the selection menu at the bottom of the screen and then click on the battlefield. Your character will appear where you clicked, as long as there's enough space for them. If you're playing on a computer, you can also select your characters using the number keys 1, 2, 3, and so on up to 9 and 0.
