This is a game that has been played for countless years. Its origins are lost in the mists of time, making it impossible to pin down who invented it or precisely when. Some of the earliest evidence of this game has been discovered in Troy (3000–2500 BC) and Pakistan (2600–1800 BC). Throughout history, this game has captivated people across the globe, with archaeologists uncovering numerous ancient playing boards in Egypt, Armenia, Greece, Italy, Iceland, China, and various other regions of the ancient world. It stands as one of the most beloved pastimes in human history.
This game has many different versions and names, but this app offers the classic European variant.
You can play against the computer, challenge a friend on the same device, or compete against an online opponent in multiplayer mode.
Spielanleitung
Players take turns putting their pieces on the board, aiming to line up three of their own in a row. This pattern, known as a "mill," allows them to remove one of their opponent's pieces from the board.
Once all pieces are on the board, players can start moving them, sliding them into an adjacent free space to create a mill. Pieces must move one space at a time, and cannot jump or move diagonally.
When a player has only three pieces left, they gain an advantage, allowing them to move their pieces to any free space on their next turn.
There are two ways to win the game:
- If a player is left with only two pieces, they lose because they can no longer create a mill to capture their opponent's pieces.
- A player wins if their opponent cannot make a move because all adjacent spaces are occupied, making it impossible for them to create a new mill.
